This position serves as receptionist for the office and is the first point of contact for all visitors and callers to the office.
Effective communication with consumers, employers, and the general public, including but not limited to vocational rehabilitation clients with a variety of disabilities, including physical disabilities, emotional and mental illness, and substance abuse is required.
Front office duties include greeting clients and visitors, answering telephone/in person inquiries and relaying messages to the appropriate staff member, processing incoming/outgoing mail, receiving applications from clients, requesting and obtaining medical records, preparing requested correspondence and other documentation, maintaining files, assisting customers with job placement, and preparing/processing authorizations and invoices for service delivery.
The administrative support position will provide general office support to a Rehab Counselor and the Counselor-in-Charge, and will provide back-up support for the Rehab Counselor serving the transition caseload as needed in order to meet the rehabilitation needs of customers.
Duties also include providing support to regional personnel who periodically work in the satellite office.
Other job duties may be assigned as needed to ensure quality service delivery to customers.
Some travel is required, primarily between the satellite office and the unit, in order to provide quality services in a timely manner.
