Brief Overview:
As a Multi-Craft Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs on all tire-related manufacturing and processing machinery and equipment.
Additionally, you will be accountable for maintaining safety standards and keeping the facility clean.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance and repairs on various equipment to ensure optimal operating conditions and uptime across all related crafts Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machines, drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems Address PLC maintenance issues Troubleshoot and fix electrical, electronic, and other mechanical problems Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications Handle the cutting, forming, threading, fitting, and installation of piping for air, water, steam, oil, nitrogen, gas, and other lines Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using multiple technologies Utilize gas torches or other equipment to cut structural stock for fabrication Record and utilize computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed Adhere to safety work standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash) Follow Goodyear's attendance policy Perform various manual tasks in different temperatures for extended periods, which may involve lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when necessary Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years old Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship presently or in the future Capable of lifting heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights with or without reasonable accommodations Must successfully fulfill all post-offer, pre-employment conditions Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if necessary Basic computer skills Must possess basic tools Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior experience in Industrial Maintenance with fundamental knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery and power/control devices, PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution, instrumentation, preventative maintenance, human machine interfaces, hydraulics, and pneumatics Preferably possess Journeyman's card or AAS in Industrial Maintenance Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards You should have expertise in:
