Position
Summary:

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.

  • Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.

  • Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.

  • Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Licenses/Certifications

Current RN license valid in NC

Required Skills

  • Hospital RN Clinical Experience in acute care setting

  • Experience in clinical system implementations throughout the project life-cycle, performing workflow analysis, testing, training, go-live support, system upgrades, and issues management.

  • Experience in organizational/behavior change management methodologies or principles; passion for excellence and ability to move organizations out of their comfort zone to achieve excellence

  • Experience in conducting evaluations and assessments, (i.e. change readiness assessments, workflow optimization assessments)Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Demonstrated ability to function both autonomously and collaboratively within a team; networks with colleagues and industry forums to leverage knowledge.

  • Good understanding of clinical standards and integration of technology.
